How the Monkey Saved his Troop
The Chief made himself into a bridge between branches so the monkeys could get away from the archers. Also apparently mangoes are an exotic fruit?
The Hawks and Their Friends
This one was almost identical to one from the last set, about various friendly animals trying to help each other escape a hunter
The Brave Little Bowman
I liked the ending of it-the big man didn't get trampled or anything terrible but the little bowman did finally get the credit he deserved all along, despite the big man being dumb and cocky for no reason
The Foolhardy Wolf
This is honestly the same story as the brave little bowman except the wolf gets himself killed trying to attack an elephant because he gets cocky after being given everything by the lion
The Stolen Plow
The logic on this one kind of falls through. The liklihood of a bird carrying away a child and a plow being eaten by mice and comparing them is a weird way to handle the situation. Just say, "He stole my plow"
The Lion in Bad Company
The poor lion (although he honestly did act pretty dumb the whole time). Another example of a wolf living with a lion and taking advantage of him
The Wise Goat and the Wolf
Title was fitting, the goat was smart to not get trapped by the wolves. Do any of the animals in this story know tricks other than playing dead?
Prince Wicked and the Grateful Animals
A nice happy-ending story of a poor man who saves an evil prince and some nice animals. Eventually people realize how evil the prince is and kill him, and the animals keep their promises to the poor man who saved them, and then the poor man becomes king and everybody lives happily ever after.
Beauty and Brownie
2 deer, beauty is smart and remembers the advice she's given, brownie is dumb and gets his herd killed.
The Elephant and the Dog
Aww this one's cute, the Elephant and the Dog were best friends and after they got separated the elephant was so lonely the king worked to get the dog back so they could be together again
Overall, my notes on these aren't super in depth because none of the stories stood out to me as much as a couple of them did in the last reading. Still fun to read though
