Intro: Krishna Comes
Intro talking about how he grew up to be powerful, loyal to friends and powerful against enemies. People didn't know that he wasn't a part of their world, they were a part of his. His story starts with the Mahabharata, which I didn't realize.

Kamsa
Krishna's birth: A cruel ruler , a voice booming from the sky, telling of death. This is different than in the Mahabharata but also the same--killing the first 7 of the 8 children at birth, only this time it was the cruel king's choice, not the woman's. And the 8th child who got to live was the 8th avatar of Vishnu.

Vasudev Meets Yamuna
Vasudev (the husband) escaped (well, was let out through unlocked gates with sleeping guards) with his young son. The Yamuna is a big river he needs to cross, and he gets protected by a giant serpent. Then he makes it to a cow herd. He switched out his kid with a different one.

Durga Speaks to Kamsa
It was a good thing he switched out the children, because back in his cell, the evil king took her and went to kill her. Then the girl turned into this blazing form, Durga. She warned him that the child lived and would someday cause his demise and she shouldn't look for him.

Putana
The woman whose baby got switched now had a boy (Krishna). The king starts killing newborns everywhere (reminds me of Herod). A terrible demonness became part of the community but then stole Krishna. She tried to poisonously nurse him and instead he sucked the essence out of her.

Maakhan Chor
Baby Krishna as he's growing up becomes known as naughty. "the boy who stole butter." Mom couldn't figure out how to discipline him. Then he ate some mud.

Krishna's Mouth
Mom demanded he opened his mouth (because it was full of mud) but instead of seeing mud she saw the universe and felt eternity stretching out in all directions. This was the first time she realized her kid was the Brahman himself

Dreams and Music
The village is moving. It is greener now. In playing in the woods, he starts playing the flute. While he was doing that, his friends were unconscious because they had fallen into a snake's poison. Krishna played his flute more, and the terrifying sound with Krishna dancing on the snake's head made him withdraw. The lake was purified, and this revealed to the people that Krishna was an avatar.

Kamsa's Terrors
Krishna grew up a bit. He defeated a tornado that attacked him. Then he tore a different demon in two. The king is still trying to kill him.

The Govardhan Hill
Arrangements are made to offer a sacrifice to this hill. People don't do it right though so Indra gets mad and sends down a terrible storm. Krishna lifts the hill up and turns it into an umbrella. This shattered Indra's thoughts of himself as the god of gods, and he asks for Krishna's forgiveness.

Radha's Love
Radha had the purest of hearts. They grew up together and became one soul through their dedication. The Kopis tested her by making her drink scalding milk.
